Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out how you may and may not use PostLake. It forms part of our Terms of Service. The goal is simple: keep PostLake safe, lawful, and welcome on the networks we connect to.

Prohibited content

Don't use PostLake to create, publish, schedule, or distribute content that:

• is unlawful, or promotes illegal activity;
• infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• is hateful, harassing, threatening, or incites violence;
• is sexually exploitative, especially anything involving minors;
• is deceptive, fraudulent, or deliberately misleading;
• contains malware, phishing, or links to harmful material.

Prohibited conduct

• Spam & abuse: bulk unsolicited posting, artificial engagement, or anything that violates a connected network's platform rules.
• Security: probing, scanning, or testing the service's security without our written permission; attempting unauthorised access; interfering with other users.
• Misuse: reverse-engineering; reselling PostLake access outside the supported embedded integration model; or circumventing credits, rate limits, or access controls. Using the documented API to let your own customers connect and publish from your product is permitted.
• Impersonation: misrepresenting your identity or affiliation, or posting on accounts you're not authorised to control.
• Overload: using automation in a way that places an unreasonable load on the service or on connected platforms.

Publishing storage

Uploaded media storage is provided for legitimate PostLake publishing, scheduling, previews and reuse. Do not use it as a general-purpose file host, download distribution service, unrelated CDN or backup archive. Do not repeatedly upload identical files merely to consume storage, bypass upload limits with multiple accounts, or hotlink files for unrelated bulk distribution.

Normal campaign reuse and long-lived scheduled posts are allowed. Retention terms do not grant unlimited storage or bandwidth. If use is abusive or creates an unreasonable load, we may restrict further uploads or access under these terms and contact you where practicable. We will not treat a routine usage restriction as permission to shorten existing minimum retention or scheduled protection. Necessary legal or security removal remains an exception. Platform rules

Each social network has its own terms and content policies. You are responsible for following them for every account you connect. Breaching a network's rules through PostLake is also a breach of this policy.

Enforcement

If we believe you've broken this policy, we may remove content, limit features, or suspend or terminate your account. With or without notice, depending on the severity. Where safe and lawful to do so, we'll try to tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.
