Cookie Policy
Last updated 1 July 2026
PostLake (a CrumbleLake product) keeps cookies to a minimum. We use only what's needed to sign you in and remember your display preference — no advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
pl_session | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in securely after login | Session / on sign-out |
pl_theme | Functional | Remembers your light/dark theme choice | Up to 1 year |
Why we don't show a cookie banner
Under UK PECR rules, strictly-necessary cookies don't require consent, and we use only those plus a single functional preference cookie you trigger yourself by choosing a theme. Because we run no advertising or third-party tracking, there's nothing that requires a consent pop-up — so we don't clutter your screen with one.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the pl_session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in. Blocking pl_theme just means the site won't remember your theme between visits.
Third parties
Some pages load embedded content or scripts from providers such as our fonts and payment/checkout provider. These are used only to deliver the service and do not set advertising cookies through us. See our Sub-processors page for who we work with.
